One of the most important workshop we offer at THE STUDIO is our Child Abduction Prevention Workshop. This workshop is designed for parents and their children to learn techniques about age-appropriate child safety. Master P recently spoke to Your California Life about what parents and kids can learn from this seminar.

December 2020 marks the second year THE STUDIO has filled “Blessing Bags” with essential items for the homeless, and this year we plan to collect a record number of bags! FOX40 talked to Master P about the effort and how local businesses and the whole community has gotten involved.
Sock Drive
Socks are one of the most requested items by the homeless, so this year THE STUDIO is once again holding a sock drive to collect socks for homeless people in our area. Master P. talked with Your California Life about the drive and the free cardio kickboxing class on Nov. 14 for anyone who donates socks.

Keeping Kids Active
How do you keep your little kids active when they’re at home during these times? THE STUDIO has online martial arts classes for preschool and grade school kids! Classes will keep kids moving while also teaching important skills such as listening, respect, and self defense.

Businesses and individuals have had to adapt quickly to the new world of social distancing, forcing many small businesses to shut down and leaving many people stranded at home without their regular exercise routine. Master P was on “Your California Life” to explain how THE STUDIO is keeping its virtual doors open by pivoting to an all-online format and offering martial arts and fitness through THE STUDIO app.

The Granite Bay Press Tribune recently had our ninja coaches on the front page of the newspaper. The March 5 article included interviews with THE STUDIO’s three coaches who have been accepted to compete on “American Ninja Warrior” in mid-March. The three athletes – Brian Montagnese, Francisco Barajas, and Jose Gomez – were chosen from tens of thousands of applicants to appear on the popular show and attempt to defeat the obstacles. STUDIO Blessing Bags featured in Granite Bay View
The February issue of “Granite Bay View” included a great article about THE STUDIO’s Blessing Bags campaign, which was sponsored by Viva Supermarkets, Padi Goodspeed of yourmortgagegirl.com, and Berco Redwood. The article included photos and information about the 500 bags that STUDIO members filled with clothing, toiletries, and other essentials for the homeless. The workshop, designed for children 10 and under, discussed important topics for both children and parents including understanding predator behavior, key personal information every child needs to know, developing situational awareness, what kids need to do if they get separated or lost, and what kids need to do if approached. Free Post-Thanksgiving Bootcamp on Sac & Co (November 2016)
On November 23, 2016 Master Amitis Pourarian, along with other STUDIO members, visited Sac & Co to discuss our free post-Thanksgiving bootcamp for members of our community. Some estimates indicate that the average person eats between 3,000 and 4,500 calories on Thanksgiving day! Our bootcamp was designed to help work off some of those excess calories.

Bullying Prevention Workshop on Good Day Sacramento (October 2016)
On October 22, 2016, Good Day Sacramento visited THE STUDIO to learn more about our Bullying Prevention Workshop. In honor of National Bullying Prevention Month, we hosted this free community event, taught by our kid Black Belt leaders, to provide girls and boys (1st grade through high school) the tools to identify, report, and resolve bullying. The workshop also focused on the importance of recognizing and valuing our differences and our responsibility to work together to beat bullying.
