Have you always wanted to try martial arts, but now that you’re in your 50s, 60s, or beyond you think it’s too late to start? Or do you have injuries or physical constraints that you feel could prevent you from acquiring a Black Belt in Taekwondo?

We have good news for you! Our Wise Warriors Taekwondo program was designed for students looking to exercise both body and mind in a supportive group environment without the risk of injury due to contact. Our program accommodates students who find physical activity a little more demanding, or those with physical restrictions due to age, health, injury, or challenged mobility.

Our modified Taekwondo program is an excellent way to keep your body strong, joints supple, muscles toned, heart healthy, and your mind sharp while you have fun, learn practical self-defense skills, and earn your Black Belt!

With consistent training, you’ll develop the techniques needed to protect yourself. You’ll gain self-confidence, self-reliance, flexibility, stamina, coordination, and improved balance. Research has shown that consistent martial arts training improves reactionary time, enhances memory, and helps foster communication between your brain and body.

When you arrive for your first taekwondo class, you’ll be greeted by friendly team members who will answer your questions, put your mind at ease, and help you feel comfortable. In class, you’ll be surrounded by supportive instructors and classmates who will encourage and motivate you every step of the way, helping you to achieve your personal goals in a friendly, welcoming environment.

No prior experience is needed to join our Wise Warriors program, and students of all abilities and fitness levels are welcome. We love teaching martial arts for seniors and others who thought they could never earn a Black Belt.

Come and experience the enjoyment of learning something new, strengthening your body and mind, and developing a supportive social circle. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you’ll build a great group of friends!

THE STUDIO is a member of the Moo Do Taekwondo Association (MDTKD). An approved Kukkiwon school, we teach Kukkiwon poomsae (forms). Visit our “What is Taekwondo?” page to learn more.

“I was a little unsure of the idea of starting martial arts, maybe because of the phase or age of my life. It has been a physical and mental challenge which I think everyone needs. It takes discipline and commitment which will help to strengthen the body and mind.”
– Jerie S.
